In the grounds of a seventeenth century village house, The Other House blends timeless Cotswold charm with modern comfort, combining curated interiors and heartfelt hospitality to create a memorable countryside escape.
Elkstone is a small picturesque village, home to one of the county’s earliest Norman churches, and surrounded by beautiful walking and cycling routes from the property.

The owner Mel is extremely welcoming, providing bread, milk and the essentials when you arrive, but will leaving you in peace to enjoy your escape. We hope to return.”
The property has been architecturally designed to offer maximum comfort and relaxation. With garden views on three sides, it is a light-filled space featuring direct access to a private dining terrace and garden.
The en-suite bathroom and kitchen benefit from underfloor heating, while the relaxed seating area includes a comfortable sofa, a flat-screen Freeview TV, and WiFi throughout.
A well-equipped galley kitchen, complete with pantry shelves, is thoughtfully stocked for those who enjoy cooking.
The generous open-plan layout is furnished with a king-size bed and bespoke, handcrafted oak furniture commissioned from The Craftsmen’s Shed. Built-in wardrobes offer ample storage, ideal for longer stays.
