The Property

The Other House is situated in a rural village high on the Cotswold escarpment with far reaching views of the Churn Valley. It is a picturesque village with one of the county’s earliest Norman churches, and a wide choice of beautiful walking and cycling routes from the property.

The recently converted one bedroom annex has been designed by an architect to provide maximum comfort and relaxation. With garden views on three aspects, it is a light filled space with direct access to a private terrace and garden.

The generous open plan space is furnished with a king size bed, and bespoke hand crafted oak furniture commissioned from The Craftmen’s Shed. Wall to ceiling wardrobes provide storage space for longer stays.

The en -suite bathroom and kitchen has underfloor heating whilst the relaxed seating area has a comfortable sofa and flat screen Freeview TV, with WiFi throughout.

There is a well equipped galley kitchen with pantry shelves, stocked for those that like to cook. With two local farm shops within a mile there is plenty of opportunity for sourcing local ingredients, or fresh bread and a newspaper for a relaxing breakfast. A light continental breakfast is provided with a Nespresso coffee machine and cafetiere.

“After a day of travelling all over it was nice to be greeted by the host and a lovely puppy! The property is clean, well organised and beautifully designed. The kitchen area and eating area was a nice place to enjoy food whilst looking over the garden. The living and sleeping area is comfortable and clear, we particularly liked the way it flowed through to the patio / garden area. Whilst it rained on the Saturday evening, the property was a great place to watch the rain as it felt so cosy. The surrounding area is a great place to walk and explore and we were particularly grateful for the recommendations in the guest book. Also a big thank you for the bread, biscuits, coffee pods and milk We would recommend staying here as it’s a fantastic place to relax.”
